This decoration is especially popular in the western and southern parts of Africa. Gele is suitable for all age groups, so whether you are a mature woman attending church or a family gathering, or a young girl attending a party or event, you can totally rock a nice gele with your beautiful traditional attire. It is worn in both rural and urban areas. There are so many ways of tying gele, so one can easily choose one that fits the event at hand. Some tribes use gele as not just a beautiful accessory, but also to pay tribute to traditions, emphasize belonging to a particular ethnic group or religious beliefs. Tying this beautiful headdress could require a lot of time and energy, but you can be rest assured that the result will be pleasing. You can accessorize your gele with beads, sequins and multi colored tissues; you can also make a beautiful rose out of the gele fabric. The possibilities of this particular item are only limited by your imagination. 2. IRO AND BUBA This traditional outfit is often made from beautiful lace, Ankara and cotton fabric. They are especially popular in the west of Nigeria. In most cases, the styles are kept simple with little additional details. The neckline is kept round and the sleeves are long. This style allows women hide the flawed areas of their figure and it is usually loose fitted. However, there are lots of exceptions to the rules of sewing the iro and buba these days; designers are coming up with a lot of innovative ways to completely customize these native wears. In any case, this outfit will emphasize your femininity and help you attain a refined and elegant image. There are many options that allow a lady look fresh and young. 3. ANKARA TOP Ankara fabric offers unlimited possibilities when it comes to making Nigerian traditional wears. Its bright colors and unusual patterns can bring a festive atmosphere to even the dullest and most boring day. For a very attractive and feminine look, ladies can wear ankara tops with open shoulders, lots of frills, unusual shapes and flowing waves of fabric. To create a beautiful combination of such tops, you can wear pants or skirts of similar colors or just go with a regular pair of jeans. This is a good option for daily activities or for a party. 4. ANKARA MAXI/MIDI SKIRT Being one of the most feminine elements of the wardrobe, long skirts, or as they are also called, maxi skirts, are loved by most girls, regardless of their figure and height. The lower parts of such dresses often greatly expanded and take different forms. You can also make styles with free cuts, mini length and many other variations. The top of the dress may be made without shoulders or sleeves and with straps across one shoulder or neck. This draws attention to the beautiful outlines of the neck and decollete zone. 8. A Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos on Wednesday remanded a Danish national, Peter Nielsen, who was suspected of killing his wife, Zainab Ali- Nielsen and their three-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Petra. 10. NIGERIAN MAN SENTENCED TO JAIL FOR RAPING TEENAGER JUST MONTHS AFTER HIS WEDDING Just months after he wedded his wife at a colorful ceremony in Uyo, Kufre Uwem, a 34-year-old Engineer from Akwa Ibom, Nigeria has been arrested in Scotland for raping an 18-year-old student. Kufre is alleged to have detained the girl in his flat in Aberdeen against her will, and proceeded to undress and R@pe her. on the 18th of October, 2012. Four years after that incident, an unidentified woman also accused the oil and gas engineer of attempting to R@pe her in her house. Even though Kufre maintains he is innocent, the court has sentenced him to 7 years and 6 months in jail for the two acts. The presiding judge, Lord Arthurson had this to say in court: “On 26 February 2018 at Aberdeen High Court you were convicted of extremely serious sexual offending against two women. “Your first victim was an 18-year-old first year university student who had met you by chance in Aberdeen city centre on the evening of 17 October 2012. That night you took her to your flat where you assaulted her and R@ped her. “In a detailed victim impact statement she has described the ‘monumental impact’ which your crime had on her life for a period of years. You subjected your second victim, on 30 October 2016, again in Aberdeen, to a degrading penetrative sexual assault to injury with intent to R@pe, in her own flat. “You had no criminal convictions prior to these offenses. Your two post-offense convictions are of a relatively minor and non-analogous nature and I will treat you today as a first offender. The criminal justice social work report prepared for this sentencing hearing makes plain that you accept no level of responsibility for your crimes. “I have listened carefully to the submissions advanced in mitigation this morning by your counsel, and take into account everything that has been said on your behalf in imposing sentence upon you. On any view, the consequences of this conviction for your personal, family and working life are truly catastrophic. “In the whole circumstances before the court, I have concluded that your criminal conduct represents violent and predatory sexual offending which by its gravity merits the imposition of a very substantial period of imprisonment. In the event that I had elected to sentence on these charges separately, I would have imposed custodial terms of six years on charge one and four years on charge two respectively. On the basis that, notwithstanding the four year gap in time between these crimes, your offending can be viewed as a single course of criminal conduct, and having regard to the requirement to impose an overall sentence which is proportionate, I now impose an in cumulo sentence of seven years and six months imprisonment. This will be backdated to 26 February 2018, being the date of your initial remand in custody in respect of this indictment. “Finally, you will now be subject to the notification requirements of Part 2 of the Sexual Offenses Act 2003 for an indefinite period”.

  24. Media personality, Daddy Freeze has in his usual routine, come for Nigerian pastors - this time around, he says most pastors are into the work of God just because of the money involved. Freeze says Nigerian pastors left their professions because they can't earn as much unlike in the ministry. In a video shared on Youtube, he said, "There are many fake pastors because of monetization; that pastor who cursed me is an architect, the one at BankyW's wedding is a doctor. "Many of them are leaving profitable field because ministry is a more profitable field. "Monetization has made fake pastors come into two fold, it has made real pastors preach false messages. "Every doctrine in Nigeria has been monetized, you hear pastors say this year you will find your 'apollos' "Apollos in the Bible was increase in word of God not referring to sowing, Matthew 13;7 this verse speaks of seed of faith not money; those that twist this to you are thieves. There's nothing spiritual about those criticizing me, the only spirituality in them is the ability to twist your brain. OAP Freeze also countered speaking in tongues in Nigerian Pentecostal churches, describing it as fake. He added, "Speaking in tongues in Nigeria Pentecostal churches is fake but speaking in tongues is not fake. "When speaking in tongues, you should speak in languages not in tongues that no one can understand. 1Cor 14:26-28; someone must interpret tongues...There is no speaking in tongues without an interpreter "Interpretation of tongues is missing in today's pentecostal churches , if anyone speaks in tongues one or two should speak in tongues one at a time not multitude. That is falsehood 1Cor 14:23 is what pastors used to confuse you, they tell you tongues is an unknown language which carnal mind cannot understand. Everyone speaking in tongues in the church is false because it is a gift that everyone does not receive. "I'm a preacher that speaks from history and bible not sentiments like others; that's why I can't say God told me to pay titheS like they say. "I would tell you what God kept in bible not what God told me." Watch: Download Video
